An emerging startup you should check out👀

Powered by FASTAX

Hey, I recently joined FASTAX as their media head (check my blogs there!), I highly recommend them for building & scaling your startup— no bias!!

Now let’s get into Serbiz!

The founders know the struggle firsthand. As students themselves, they witnessed the constant battle between academic demands and the need to manage everyday tasks like laundry, errands, and even quick fix-ups around the dorm. This often leads to stress, procrastination, and a feeling of constant "not enough time."

And they know it’s not just that. Thousands of students across the Philippines possess valuable skills and are eager to earn flexible income. However, they often lack a platform to connect with the specific, small-scale, and often time-sensitive needs of their peers.

This led them to creating a bridge to these challenges, Serbiz! It connects students who need help ("Listers") to eager helpers ("Hustlers"), offering a micro-task marketplace tailored to the unique needs of the Filipino student community.

Whether it's laundry pick-up, grocery delivery, furniture assembly, or even research assistance, Serbiz allows Listers to easily find reliable help, while Hustlers can earn quick cash on their own terms.

Before anything else, let’s get to meet the founders of Serbiz!

Iyana, CEO of Serbiz!

Iyana is a 4th year DLSU Finance student with a minor in Digital & Technology Solutions. Honed by her JPMorgan Chase summer analyst experience, she oversees all departments and leads Serbiz towards milestones.

A passionate problem solver, she combines her financial expertise with tech-savviness to empower students with secure and reliable services through Serbiz.

What is she most proud of?

I’m proud of our founding team the most. We all have a good dynamic, we own our roles, and we’re faster together.

Our team complements each other in ways where our strengths and weaknesses combined are fairly almost balanced. I’m privileged to find these amazing founders and even more honored to pursue a startup with them.

Aliex, COO of Serbiz!

She is currently a third-year undergraduate at De La Salle University-Manila and is taking BS in Computer Systems Engineering.

Aliex is also an active student, leading various student organizations, has held numerous executive positions, and is a two-time batch president. She heads the whole marketing department of Serbiz and oversees partnerships with universities.

What is she most proud of?

My proudest achievement in life is making the leap from studying computer science to immersing myself in the world of marketing while still in school despite being an active student.

What makes me proud is that I managed to self-learn and hone my marketing skills through online courses. Now, I’m thrilled to be leading marketing efforts at Serbiz through  self-improvement and dedication.

Alfonso, COO of Serbiz!

He recently graduated from De La Salle University with a degree in Computer Science with a Specialization in Software Technology and a minor in Social Technopreneurship.

Alfonso was awarded a Gold Medal for an excellent undergraduate thesis. Continuing this achievement, he heads the whole technology development for Serbiz.

What is he most proud of?

My proudest achievement would be working in Serbiz and making the application go live. Since I had to work so hard to do this, it was fulfilling to see it be done and see other people use it.
